Who is the Graphic Designer?
They are the designers of a company's visual communication. They operate in a vast and multifaceted field, ranging from traditional graphics to the new frontiers of digital media. They must be able to understand and respect different communication and commercial logics, as well as social dynamics. They are creative who employ their technique in everything that is visual in communication: from packaging to film graphics, from the logo of a new product to the design of a trendy brand, to the creation of graphic content designed for the Web and Social Media.
Among the main activities they must perform are: the development of creative concepts, the creation of sketches (by hand or on the computer), the creation of images and animations through design software, the composition of layouts and their harmonisation (colours, images, fonts, animations, spaces, etc.).

Skills
Graphic Design Skills
Knowledge and use of the main software for creating graphic elements, for their layout, photo editing, etc. These include: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Affinity Designer, Inkscape, Corel Draw, GIMP, etc. Graphic design skills also include knowledge of typographic processes (from knowledge of printing techniques and processes to that of materials, color rendering, etc.). Knowledge of techniques for designing and creating special effects for videos, animations, etc., and the use of certain software such as After Effects, Maya, etc., are considered a plus.
Skills in CMS and Social Media
Knowledge and use of the main CMS (Content Management System) for creating the most suitable graphic content for website pages, blog posts, etc. Among the main CMS to know: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, MediaWiki, ExpressionEngine, Magnolia, HubSpot, Tilda and Wix. In addition, it is necessary to know and be familiar with the main Social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) to identify their formats, layouts and technical specifications for an optimal graphic realisation of the contents to be conveyed.
